COVID - 19

The Board of Directors of GMChorale adopted the following policy September 27, 2021 through May 30, 2022, on COVID-19 Audience policy:

All audience members for in-person GMChorale produced concerts and events, must be fully vaccinated (as defined below) with an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine in order to be permitted to attend, except for those ineligible to receive them per FDA guidance (currently those under 12 years of age - subject to change). Proof of vaccination will be required at the time of entry. Entry will be denied to patrons who do not provide the documentation as required.

The following are acceptable as proof of full vaccination:

  • Vaccination card (which includes the name of the person vaccinated, type of COVID-19 vaccine provided, and date the last dose was administered, which must be at least two weeks prior to the performance date)

  • A photo of the attendee’s vaccination card as a separate document

  • A photo of the attendee’s vaccine card stored on a phone or electronic device

  • Documentation of full vaccination from a healthcare provider

“Fully vaccinated” means on the day of the concert, a patron is:

  • at least 14 days after their second dose of an FDA or WHO approved two dose COVID-19 vaccine, or

  • at least 14 days after their single dose of an FDA or WHO approved single dose COVID-19 vaccine.

The only exceptions are:

  • patrons who need reasonable accommodations due to a medical exception or a sincerely held religious belief. (To request an exemption, you must email in advance of purchasing a ticket and state why you are eligible for an exemption. Once approved, GMChorale will contact you for purchasing tickets. Procedures subject to change) Patrons with an approved exemption must provide, instead of evidence of vaccination, proof of one of the following or they will not be admitted to the theatre:

    • negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 12 hours of the performance start time, or

    • negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time.

Masks are required at all times for everyone inside the venue where GMChorale is performing, regardless of vaccination status except when drinking in refreshment areas or outside areas. Masks must completely cover the nose and mouth and comply with the CDC guidelines for acceptable face coverings. GMChorale will make a sincere effort to provide masks to patrons who do not have one. Patrons who choose not to wear a mask will be asked to leave the building.

GMChorale will, to the best of its ability, provide for social distance in seating.

These policies will remain in effect through May 1, 2022. Should we need to make any updates, they will be communicated to you by email and on our website.

The Board of Directors of GMChorale adopted the following policy August 8, 2021, effective through May 30, 2022, on requiring vaccines for members:

The GMChorale Inc. requires all those who are part of one or more of its constituent ensembles (including GMChorale, Alchemy, Harmonia, Contracted Soloists, Accompanists, Conductors) AND are participating in a live, in-person event in a music-making capacity (including singing, playing an instrument, conducting) AND are eligible to receive an FDA authorized vaccine, to be fully vaccinated against COVID 19, as defined by the CDC, in order to participate in any GMChorale event. This policy will end on May 30, 2022 and may be reviewed prior and revised and renewed as the Board of Directors choose.  Vaccination for participation in non-singing events, participating in singing events in a non-singing capacity, and for audience members will be assessed closer to the event in question.  All, regardless of vaccination status, may participate in virtual GMChorale events. Any exceptions or ambiguous cases will be decided by the Executive Committee.
